Asus Have announced a new external Blu-ray burner for PCs which writes at up to 12x over the new USB 3.0 standard. The BW-12D1S-U is the world's fastest 3D Blu-ray writer, and it uses Optical Tuning Strategy for precision writing and high quality reading.The BW-12D1S-U offers DVD upscaling so that your current library of DVDs isn't left behind when you decide to upgrade and your non 3D BDs won't be left out in the cold either since the new drive will convert your 2D content into 3D. The drive can also decode DTS-HD and Dolby® EX for your audio needs.
It also features an ultra modern design, with a glowing blue power button and a diamond shape on a hexagonal stand. It wouldn't look out of place in a movie like TRON!
