Relativity Media's Rogue Pictures has set release dates for the Neil Burger-directed thriller The Dark Fields and the Tarsem Singh-directed 3D fantasy action adventure War of Gods.
The Dark Fields, starring Bradley Cooper, Robert De Niro and Abbie Cornish, will hit theaters on March 18, 2011, the same day that Paramount is planning on releasing Gore Verbinski's animated adventure Rango.
"Fields," based on the book by Alan Glynn, follows a down-and-out writer (Cooper) who gets his hands on a top-secret pharmaceutical drug that makes one smarter. He experiences sudden financial and social success but soon discovers that the drug has lethal and lasting side effects. Before long, mysterious antagonists are pursuing him.
War of Gods, starring Henry Cavill, Freida Pinto, Mickey Rourke and Kellan Lutz, is scheduled for a November 11, 2011 release. The other movie opening that day is Sony and Aardman's animated family pic Arthur Christmas.
War of Gods follows young warrior Theseus, who leads his men into battle with the immortal Greek gods to defeat evil elder gods of the Titans in order to save mankind.
Rogue Pictures' films are distributed by Universal Pictures, which has finally set a release date of January 28, 2011 for Kids in America as well. The dramedy stars Topher Grace, Anna Faris, Dan Fogler, Teresa Palmer, Michael Ian Black, Michelle Trachtenberg, Wade Allain-Marcus and Michael Biehn.
Rogue's next release is MacGruber, opening in theaters on May 21.
