Like with all iOS apps, your best bet is to just download it and try it out to see how it works. The app itself is currently FREE , and comes with two effects - missile attack and car smash. For an extra $0.99 each, you can download more FX packs that include the chopper crash, a tornado, an air strike and machine gun firefight (which may be the cheesiest one). The app itself has an impressive, sleek design and is very easy to use, which means these kind of FX videos will permeate YouTube very quickly. Here's a demo video of all the FX:
