After years of working in art and make-up departments and designing various creature effects for films like Godzilla (1998) and I Am Legend, Patrick Tatopoulos moved onward and upward by directing his first feature film - Screen Gems' Underworld: Rise of the Lycans. Though Tatopoulos has been developing an adaptation of Kevin Grevioux's Darkstorm comic I, Frankenstein (which is supposed to shoot this summer), Heat Vision reports he is also negotiating to direct The Colony, the story of a group of survivors forced underground by the next ice age who must fight to preserve humanity against a savage threat (or bugs!).
