Warren Ellis' Comic Series 'Gravel' Being Adapted by Legendary

Legendary Pictures is developing a feature adaptation of the Warren Ellis comic book property "Gravel," as announced by Heat Vision. Other comic properties from Warren Ellis in development around Hollywood include Red (set to star Bruce Willis and Morgan Freeman) and Ocean. The "Gravel" series blends espionage and dark fantasy in tracking the modern-day exploits of British "combat magician" William Gravel. Ellis first introduced the character in a 1999 limited series of graphic novels entitled "Strange Kiss." Ellis will serve as executive producer and write the screenplay. Sounds like a cool story to adapt and a comic I should read.

Τέλος εποχής για τους Oasis διά στόματος Λίαμ Γκάλαχερ

Λίγους μήνες μετά την αποχώρηση του Νόελ Γκάλαχερ από τους Oasis, ο αδελφός του Λίαμ ανακοίνωσε τη διάλυση του διάσημου αγγλικού συγκροτήματος, έπειτα από 18 χρόνια επιτυχούς διαδρομής.

«Εμείς αποφασίσαμε να διαλύσουμε τους Oasis. Δεν το έκαναν άλλοι για εμάς και αυτό είναι θετικό» δήλωσε ο Λίαμ Γκάλαχερ στους Times του Λονδίνου.

Ο ίδιος τόνισε ότι θα ασχολείται με τη μουσική μέχρι να πεθάνει και γι' αυτό σκέφτεται διαρκώς τα μελλοντικά του σχέδια.

Παραδέχθηκε, επίσης, ότι οι περιοδείες με τον αδελφό του, Νόελ, και τα άλλα μέλη του συγκροτήματος «ήταν ευχάριστες», αλλά «τίποτα δεν διαρκεί για πάντα».

Τον περασμένο Αύγουστο, ο Νόελ Γκάλαχερ ανακοίνωσε πως αποχωρεί από το συγκρότημα, καθώς δεν μπορούσε να συνεργαστεί με τον αδελφό του Λίαμ ούτε μια ημέρα παραπάνω.

Full Synopsis and Cast for Resident Evil: Afterlife

Screen Gems has provided us with the plot for Resident Evil: Afterlife, scheduled for a release on August 27, 2010. It goes as follows:

In a world ravaged by a virus infection, turning its victims into the Undead, Alice continues on her journey to find survivors and lead them to safety. Her deadly battle with the Umbrella Corporation reaches new heights, but Alice gets some unexpected help from an old friend. A new lead that promises a safe haven from the Undead leads them to Los Angeles, but when they arrive the city is overrun by thousands of Undead and Alice and her comrades are about to step into a deadly trap.

The full cast includes: Milla Jovovich, Ali Larter, Spencer Locke, Wentworth Miller, Shawn Roberts, Boris Kodjoe, Kim Coates, Norman Yeung and Kasey Barnfield.

Paul W.S. Anderson returns to the director's chair with a script he penned.

Hawaii Five-O Rebooting !!!

Writers Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci (Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, Star Trek), as well as Peter Lenkov ("CSI: NY") are developing a new spin on the vintage cop drama "Hawaii Five-O" at CBS.

Lenkov will write the pilot script under Kurtzman and Orci's supervision, and Lenkov will serve as showrunner should the project be picked up to series.

The trio will executive produce for CBS Television Studios. CBS gave the project a pilot commitment on Thursday after a pitch from Kurtzman, Orci and Lenkov.

The 1968-80 series starred Jack Lord as Steve McGarrett, head of the hardboiled Hawaiian State Police, which handled the toughest criminal cases and investigated organized crime on the island.

Promo Art for Lussier's 'Drive Angry' 3D (2010)

Nu Image has released some early sales art for the Patrick Lussier directed Drive Angry, which will star Nicolas Cage as a man driven by rage, chasing the people who killed his daughter and kidnapped her baby. The rescue spins out of control as the chase gets bloodier by the mile, leaving bodies strewn along the highway. The 3D film is scripted by Todd Farmer, who re-teams with Lussier after My Bloody Valentine. Lussier will direct Halloween III 3D in 2010.
