China plans “Avatar-like” 3D bigfoot movie

Read this interesting bit of news over at those fine purveyors of Asian cinema, 24FPS, and thought I'd share the oddness.

It seems China is planning at 15M yen 3D creature feature about everyone's favourite Kokannee beer swilling Bigfoot (aka the Yeren or Wildman).

Tentatively named "Primary Zone," the film will follow a group of scientists searching the remote mountains in Hubei Province for the mythical beast.

How the film is exactly "Avatar-like" besides its use of 3D remains to be seen, but that's what is being reported.
